Simply click on the name of a category on this page to see all the featured images for that subject. To reuse any images from Wikimedia Commons please see this guide. There are currently 16,103 of such images in the Commons repository which is roughly 0.019% of the available images (86,954,975). All featured images are entered into our annual Picture of the Year competition. You may wish to browse the profiles of individual photographers, illustrators, and restorationists within the Commons community who have contributed a substantial portion of our featured pictures. Images may be considered for featured status by being listed at Commons:Featured picture candidates, where the community will reach a consensus.
