Description
Deutsch: Der Hindenburgdamm mit dem Sylt Shuttle, der von der vierachsigen Diesellokomotive DB 218 315-0 aus der DB-Baureihe 218 angetrieben wird. Der elf Kilometer lange Hindenburgdamm verbindet die nordfriesische Insel Sylt mit dem Festland von Schleswig-Holstein. Er wurde am 1. Juni 1927 nach einer Bauzeit von vier Jahren eröffnet und dient ausschließlich dem Eisenbahnverkehr. Da es keine Straße vom Festland nach Sylt gibt, befördern Eisenbahnzüge des Sylt Shuttle die Fahrzeuge von Niebüll über den Hindenburgdamm nach Westerland. Diese Verbindung ist 39 Kilometer lang.
English: The Hindenburgdamm is an 11 km-long causeway joining the North Frisian island of Sylt to mainland Schleswig-Holstein. It was opened on 1 June 1927 and is exclusively a railway corridor. The Sylt Shuttle operated by DB AutoZug transports road vehicles on railway wagons over the Hindenburgdamm.

Hindenburgdamm to 11-kilometrowa grobla komunikacyjna łącząca wchodzącą w skład Wysp Północnofryzyjskich wsypę Sylt ze stałym lądem w Szlezwiku-Holsztynie, w Niemczech. Otwarto ją 1 czerwca 1927 roku po czterech latach budowy i jest przeznaczona wyłącznie dla ruchu kolejowego. Ponieważ nie ma połączenia drogowego pomiędzy wyspą Sylt i stałym lądem, pociągi Sylt Shuttle przewożą samochody 39-kilometrową linią kolejową pomiędzy Niebüll na stałym lądzie i Westerland na wyspie.
Čeština: Hindenburgdamm je 11 km dlouhá železniční trať postavená na uměle vytvořeném náspu mezi ostrovem Sylt, nejsevernějším z Fríských ostrovů a pevninou v německé spolkové zemi Šlesvicko-Holštýnsko. Poprvé byla uvedena do provozu 1. června roku 1927 a doposud je používána jako výlučný železniční koridor.
